IDA Ireland and Dublin City University
IDA Ireland planned to establish a national bio-manufacturing/processing research and development centre in partnership with four Irish academic institutions: Dublin City University, Athlone Institute of Technology, National University of Ireland Galway and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, together with the possible involvement of the Hauptman-Woodward Institute and Buffalo University. Building on the work already done, IDA Ireland engaged Prospectus to:

  • Determine the likely start-up and operating costs of such a centre
  • Devise a strategy for the centre to move to a self-funding basis
  • Develop a governance structure to drive the objectives of the centre

This involved working with financial analysts and the different parties to address each of the above areas, through one-on-one meetings and discussion fora. Prospectus was responsible for providing project management support throughout the process, ensuring that the three areas were discussed sufficiently by all the parties involved and that agreement was reached on how best to progress the project.
